LIFEGUARDING
Interested in a great summer job or challenging career as a professional lifeguard? Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard. We offer courses tailored to waterparks and waterfronts. Also available in online/onsite blended learning format.

Would you know what to do in a cardiac, breathing or first aid emergency? The right answer could help you save a life. With an emphasis on hands-on learning, our First Aid/CPR/AED courses give you the skills to save a life. All course options align with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs and are available in classroom and blended learning formats. Certification is issued upon successful completion. Free online refreshers are available with all course options.
Course length: From 2 hours to 5 hours, depending on course option
2 year certification
Course options:
First Aid: Learn how to respond to common first aid emergencies, including burns; cuts; head, neck and back injuries and more.
**Pediatric option available.
**Adult and pediatric options available. CPR/AED Learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AED).
Review/Renew your First Aid/CPR/AED certification in an abbreviated class session. Current certification is required.
Challenge Prepare on you own and demonstrate skill competency in front of a Red Cross instructor. Current certification is not required.

Babysitting Training
Purpose To provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid.
Prerequisites None.
Recommended age 11–15 years.
